Verch and Bowman are 2024 Tmen territorial picks
Ahead of the 2024 WLA Draft the Nanaimo Timbermen have announced their two territorial protections.
Junior A standouts Levi Verch and Colby Bowman will join the Tmen in the WLA.
Verch is a lefty defender who was the captain of the Junior A squad.
He has represented Canada twice and was named to the All-World Team at the World Lacrosse Men’s U21 Championships.
Levi plays NCAA lacrosse at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
Bowman is a goalie who was named to the BCJALL 1st All-Star Team in 2023.
He led the league in wins and save percentage.
Colby plays NCAA lacrosse at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio.
The 2024 Graduating Junior Draft for Tuesday February 6 at 7 p.m.
The WLA will be hosting its draft of B.C.’s top 21-year-old players live from the Langley Events Centre.
The draft will be webcast live at WLALacrosse.com and hosted by longtime lacrosse play-by- play broadcaster, Jake Elliott.
The projected order of first round picks is:
1) Maple Ridge Burrards (from Coquitlam)
2) Burnaby Lakers
3) Victoria Shamrocks (from Burnaby)
4) Victoria Shamrocks
5) Nanaimo Timbermen
6) Nanaimo Timbermen (from New Westminster)
7) Burnaby Lakers (from Langley)
