Tyson Roe wins gold at European Box Lacrosse Championship

Timbermen veteran Tyson Roe went overseas to help England win the 2022 European Box Lacrosse Championship.

The tournament was held in Hannover, Germany from July 30 to August 6.

Roe had a goal in the 11-8 victory over Germany in the final and finished the tournament with five goals and an assist.

One time New Westminster Salmonbellies forward Lyndon Bunio led England in the final game with two goals and four assists.

The 2022 European tournament was held over from 2021 because of COVID-19.

It was established in 2017 with Team Israel taking the inaugural event

Tyson Roe is expected to be back in Nanaimo and available for playoff games this week in the WLA.
