Tmen win home opener to start season 1-1

by Dan Marshall

Twelve was a magic number for the Timbermen in their first two games of the season.

Nanaimo lost 12-7 in New West on Thursday and won 12-5 over Langley on Sunday.

Brody Eastwood with four goals and Colton Clark with four assists led the attack in game one, while Pete Dubenski was busy facing 66 shots.

On Sunday Dubenski stood tall, especially on multiple Langley five on three situations as he faced 38 shots in just over 50 minutes of work.

Chase Fraser held a hot stick with a hat trick and two assists, and Colton Clark was strong again with a two goal and four assist performance.

There's only one game for the Timbermen this weekend as they travel to Burnaby on Friday night.
