Tmen to open playoffs August 1 in Langley

The WLA regular season came to an end on Saturday with an 11-6 Timbermen home floor loss to the New Westminster Salmonbellies.

Brett McIntyre led the offence with four points while Jon Phillips and Ryan Sheridan each had two goals.

The result saw the Tmen end the 2023 campaign with a 12-6 record, good for third place in the WLA standings.

Officially it won't be confirmed until Monday night, but Zach Manns will win the league scoring title with 89 points on the season.

The top four playoff spots are now decided with New West finishing first, Langley ending up in second, Nanaimo earning third and the Victoria Shamrocks grabbing the fourth spot.

Nanaimo will face Langley in a best of five first round series starting on Tuesday August 1 at the Langley Events Centre.
