Tmen split games with Salmonbellies

The Nanaimo Timbermen had a loss and a win in their home and home series against the Salmonbellies.

On June 20 the Tmen went down 13-9 at Queen's Park Arena.

Once again Zach Manns led the way with three goals and two assists while Colton Lidstone and Jon Phillips had four points apiece.

Devlin Shanahan stopped 33 shots while former Timbermen netminder Justin Geddie got the win for the Bellies.

Nanaimo got to Geddie in the rematch building up a 7-2 lead after twenty minutes, forcing a goaltending change to Neil Tyacke.

Manns was dynamic with a three goal and three assist performance for his fourth game in a row with a hat trick.

Jason Knox and Taggart Clark also had hat tricks while Lidstone put up a four point game.

A 15-6 win was Nanaimo's largest margin of victory and highest scoring game of the season.

Colby Bowman was stingy in net as well with a 34 save effort.

The Timbermen have a 2-5 record and look to continue climbing up the standings with a road game June 26 in Langley.
