Tmen sign transition specialist Nick Finlay for 2019

by Dan Marshall

The Nanaimo Timbermen have added to their already strong D corps with the addition of 6'4 transition specialist Nick Finlay.

The Ottawa native was drafted 16th overall by the Saskatchewan Rush in 2017

In nine pro games in 2018 and 2019 the left hander has three points and 23 loose balls.

During the 2018 MSL campaign the 22 year old had six points in 11 games with the Cobourg Kodiaks.

His first MSL season in Peterborough saw Finlay score 24 points in 20 games.

Finlay joins a backend filled with many other NLL veterans that should be one of the best in the WLA in 2019.

The Timbermen will be announcing more commitments on both offense and defence in the coming days.
