Tmen handle Burrards, lose island rivalry game

The Timbermen split their home games against Maple Ridge and Victoria last  week.

On Friday the Tmen won 10-7 over the Burrards thanks to three goals and an  assist from Mason Pynn and two goals and two assists from Chase Fraser.

Then on Sunday Nanaimo fell 16-9 to the Victoria Shamrocks in a game that  saw Victoria's Casey Jackson net eight goals and two assists.

Ryan Lee had three goals and two assists to lead the attack for the home side.

Pete Dubenski picked up the win on Friday and both he and Mike DeGirolamo  saw time in net in the Victoria game.

Nanaimo's record moves to 3-4 with three games on tap for this week.

The Timbermen are in Burnaby Tuesday and they host Maple Saturday and New  West on Sunday.
