Tmen bring in new talent for 2025

The Nanaimo Timbermen have added three important players in the lead up to the 2025 WLA season.

Defender Matt Firth finished his Junior A career with the Toronto Beaches in 2024 and at 6'5 he'll add a physical presence to the back end.

Firth is also in his junior season playing field lacrosse for the University of Detroit Mercy,

A trade with Langley saw the aquisition of defender Cal Slade and offensive lefty Tristan Kirkham.

Kirkham had 25 points with the Thunder in 2024 while Slade picked up five and will join former teammate Matt Abbott on the Nanaimo defence.

In the Langley trade Nanaimo gave up versatile Veteran Evan Messenger who had been with the team since 2018.

The Tmen open the current campaign with a road game in New Westminster on May 22.

Nanaimo's home opener is May 31 against Victoria.
