Timbermen lose 17-10 to Langley in Game 2

The Nanaimo Timbermen are down 2-0 in their best of five series with the Langley Thunder after a 17-10 setback in Game 2.

Nanaimo led 6-5 after the first period and 10-9 through 40 minutes but Langley made an impressive push in the third period to close the game on an 8-0 run.

Brett McIntyre led the Timbermen offence with four points and Ryan Sheridan was the game's Third Star with a hat trick.

Robert Church exploded for the Thunder with six goals and six assists while Curtis Dickson and Connor Robinson had seven points each.

The series takes a five day break before Game 3 on Tuesday August 8 at the Langley Events Centre.

It's a must win for Nanaimo to keep their playoff hopes alive.
