Timbermen add Rod Jensen and Dave Pym to coaching staff

The Nanaimo Senior A Timbermen have bolstered their coaching staff by adding Rod Jensen and Dave Pym as assistant coaches.
 
Jensen has an extensive coaching background in the WLA including four Mann Cup Appearances.
 
Recently Jensen was at the helm of the Langley Thunder from 2011-2015 and from 2017-2022 and is currently the head coach of the Blackfish in the Arena Lacrosse League and defensive co-ordinator with the Mexico National team for the 2024 Indoor World Championships.
 
His coaching resume extends to the NLL as the first head coach of the Colorado Mammoth, assistant coach of the Vancouver Ravens and Calgary Roughnecks. 
 
Before his Langley days Jensen led the Coquitlam Senior Adanacs to a WLA Championship and a Mann Cup appearance in 2007. 
 
In the BCJALL he helped coach the Coquitlam Junior ‘A’ Adanacs to their first Minto Cup victory in 2010 and Jensen was the first Head Coach of the Delta Junior ‘A’ Islanders in 2003-2004 winning the Coach of the Year Award in 2003.

Dave Pym has been a coach at the highest levels of box lacrosse as well.
 
From the NLL to the WLA and the WCSLA Pym has a wealth of knowledge and a long history with Jensen.
 
With current WLA Co-Coaches of the Year Jon Nicholson and Brian Nikula returning to the Timbermen, the Nanaimo coaching staff will be one of the deepest and most experienced in Senior A.
