The 2021 National Lacrosse League draft was a successful one for the Nanaimo Timbermen organization.

Three players with ties to the Junior and Senior teams were selected.

Junior Timbermen standout Thomas Vaesen was selected 14th overall by Buffalo, 2021 Senior A draft pick Caleb Kueber went 17th to Panther City and Graden Soucy (Jr. A and WLA Timbermen) was taken 46th by Vancouver.

Vaesen played in 2018 and 2019 for the Juniors and was the club's top scorer in both years.

He had 100 points in 2019 and 66 in the 2018 campaign.

Vaesen was scooped up by the Langley Thunder in the 2021 WLA draft.

Keuber played his junior career with the Victoria Shamrocks garnering 51 points from 2018-19.

He was selected 5th overall by Nanaimo in the 2021 WLA draft.

Kueber had been playing field lacrosse at Mercyhurst University since 2018 and will transfer to Denver to finish school this fall.

Graden Soucy joined the Senior Timbermen in the 2020 draft and is still waiting to play his first WLA game.

He played as a defender for the Junior Timbermen from 2016-2019 and also played field lacrosse at Mount Olive and Rockhurst University.
