Tewanee Joseph wins High Performance Coach award

The 2023 Nanaimo Sport Achievement Awards ceremony was held on Friday, February 24 at the Coast Bastion Hotel. 

The Senior A Timbermen are proud to announce Head Coach Tewanee Joseph has been named the ‘High Performance Coach of the Year'. 

In his first year guiding the Timbermen Joseph led the team to a 12-6 finish and an appearance in the 2022 WLA Finals.

Tewanee preaches a fast paced brand of lacrosse and brought a spirit of co-operation and teamwork into the locker room and the communities of Nanaimo and Snuneymuxw.

Nanaimo Timbermen President Chris Bowman said Joseph was able to take the program to the next level.

"Tewanee has meant so much to the program and to the players on our team.   He is very deserving of this award and we're so excited for what is to come in 2023."

The upcoming season of Nanaimo Timbermen lacrosse will start in late May.
