The Nanaimo Senior A Timbermen have upgraded their transition game with the addition of Adam Wiedemann.

The 25-year-old has been a member of the Georgia Swarm of the National Lacrosse League since he was drafted 8th overall in 2018.

During the current NLL season Wiedemann has three goals and 11 assists to go along with 85 loose balls in 15 games.

In Major Series Lacrosse in Ontario Weidemann played six games and had five points in the shortened 2021 season for Owen Sound.

Timbermen President Chris Bowman said the team is getting a great player who is also a proven leader.

"Adam is one of the premier left handed NLL defenders and he’s shown his leadership captaining Owen Sound.  He’s a great goal scorer in transition which fits the style we want to play this summer."

Previously in Senior A he had 34 points in 34 games over two seasons with the Brampton Excelsiors in 2018 and 2019.

The Ontario native spend five years in Junior A with Brampton of the OJALL from 2013-17, scoring 108 points in 91 career appearances.

Weidemann played field lacrosse for Brevard College in 2015 before finishing with three years at Belmont Abbey College from 2016-18.
