Rae-Ann Joseph joins Nanaimo Timbermen
Snuneymuxw Territory, Nanaimo, BC - The Senior A Nanaimo Timbermen are pleased to announce that Tla’kwas’kum, Rae-Ann Joseph, will join the team as a Director and will represent the team as Vice President of Business and Community Development.
Timbermen President Christopher Bowman on the addition of Rae-Ann Joseph: “We feel extremely privileged to be adding Rae-Ann to our Timbermen family. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to help us as we continue to strive to achieve our goal of becoming the model franchise in lacrosse.”
Rae-Ann is a member of the Snuneymuxw First Nations and grew up playing the Creator’s at various levels around Vancouver Island. She has dedicated her life to working in the area of Inclusivity and has extensive experience working with First Nations in the areas of Community and Policy Development, Communications and Partnerships.
Over the years, she has found time to serve as the President and visionary of the North Vancouver Lacrosse Academy which allowed grade 8 to 12 students the ability to play the game and develop their skills on a fundamental basis.
