One of the busiest weeks of the season is now in the books

by Dan Marshall

A three game week for the Nanaimo Timbermen yielded one tie and a pair of  losses.

The tie came in Burnaby on Tuesday night with a 10-10 finish.

Ryan Lee led the offense with two goals and two assists while Jake Cullen and Chase Fraser each had a goal and three assists.

Goalie Pete Dubenski held the fort with 51 saves.

Saturday the Tmen hosted Maple Ridge and lost 11-8.

Jake Cullen had three goals and Ryan Lee chipped in four points in the loss.

Sunday's weekend finale finished 11-5 for the New Westminster Salmonbellies.

Ryan Lee and Jordan Getz both tallied three point games in a game where  offense was hard to come by for the home squad.

This week there is only one game with the Timbermen traveling to Victoria to play the Shamrocks at 7:30.
