Jerrett Smith shares WLA Sportsmanship Award

Jerrett Smith and New Westminster's Logan Schuss are co-winners of the WLA Sportsmanship Award in 2024.

The is handed out on the criteria of the player or players displaying the best value to his team, volunteer assistance to minor lacrosse, and good sportsmanship.

Smith has been a mainstay in Nanaimo since 2017 and finished seventh in team scoring in 2024 with 16 points.

Number 95 is versatile and consistent.

After playing 13 gamers in his rookie season he has never appeared in less than 16 games since, playing out either the back or front gate.

Jerrett's next game will be his 100th in the WLA with a total of 74 points along the way.

Smith has been a vital part of the box lacrosse community in Nanaimo and is very deserving of this award.
