Today is an important day, especially for the lacrosse community. Indigenous Peoples Day is a day for us to recognize, celebrate, and pay respect to the rich Indigenous culture. As well as show gratitude to the Creator's game. Timbermen Head Coach Tewanee Joseph has provided us with a thoughtful message to share with the lacrosse community.
"Today, the Western Lacrosse Association stands together to acknowledge, respect, and celebrate, First Nations, Inuit, and Metis Peoples from across these traditional and sacred lands. The Creator's game allows people from all cultures and opportunity to learn, heal, and compete while recognizing the traditional values of family, respect, and community."
