Chase Fraser Named WLA Second Team All-Star

by Dan Marshall

The Nanaimo Timbermen congratulate rookie Chase Fraser for being named a WLA Second Team All-Star.

Fraser was drafted third overall in the 2017 entry draft after a standout junior career with the Delta Islanders where he scored 178 points in 48 games.

In his first year in Nanaimo the 22-year-old was the co-leader in team scoring with 52 points.

That was good enough for eighth overall in the WLA.

Chase had 30 goals in his rookie campaign which left him tied for third in the league.

On the floor Fraser is an offensive force but also a key faceoff man and a physical presence.

There's lots of excitement around the organization to see where he can take his game in 2018.
