2026 WLA season comes to a close

The Nanaimo Timbermen embarked on a rebuilding journey in 2026 which culminated in a first round playoff series with the Victoria Shamrocks.

After an 8-10 regular season the Tmen took on the Shamrocks in a best of five first round WLA post season matchup.

Victoria took the series by scores of 15-6, 17-8 and 11-6. 

It was the first taste of post season action for many of the Nanaimo players and ultimately a building block in the team's search for long term success.

The Timbermen have built up a young core filled with many Vancouver Island players who are on an upward track in their development.

Nanaimo will look to add some more pieces to the club for 2027 and get set for a deeper run in next year's playoffs.
