2024 WLA SECOND ALL STARS

WLA ANNOUNCES FIRST & SECOND TEAM ALL-STARS

Burnaby, BC – The WLA is pleased to announce the 2024 First and Second Team All-Stars. This group includes an outstanding group of players who have excelled throughout the 2024 WLA season and have demonstrated excellence with their play and were key members of their respective teams.

The First team includes Victoria Shamrocks goaltender, Chris Origlieri, who finished the regular season with 346 saves, a goal against average of 6.7, and an .842 save percentage.

On defense, Isaac Ngyou of the Maple Ridge Burrards, Jalen Chaster of the Coquitlam Adanacs, and Drew Belgrave of the New Westminster Salmonbellies lead the way.

On Offense, Will Malcom of the Salmonbellies, Robert Church of the Langley Thunder, and Jesse King of the Victoria Shamrocks round out the First Team. Malcom led the regular season in scoring with 52 goals and 60 assists for 112 points, Church finished with 48 points in 10 games, while the Shamrocks’ Jesse King finished the season with 65 points in 13 games.

The goaltender selected for the Second All-Star Team is Brandon Humphrey, from the Maple Ridge Burrards. Humphrey finished the season with an .886% save percentage, & 703 saves.

Evan Messenger and Nate Wade from the Nanaimo Timbermen, and Gordie Phillips from the Burnaby Lakers were selected as defenders, while Ben McDonald and Jacob Dunbar from the Lakers, and Zach Manns from the Timbermen, were selected on offense.
