T-Men Host Champs in Big Game

Twice, the Nanaimo Timbermen Senior A Lacrosse Club have travelled to Queens Park Arena to take on the reigning Western Lacrosse Association champions, twice they’ve taken leads into the third period, and twice they’ve come up short.  This Saturday night at 7:00 pm at the Nanaimo Ice Centre, the T-Men plan for things to be much different.

Coming off a crucial 11-9 home win against a persistent Langley Thunder squad, the T-Men can now focus on the task at hand with a positive mind set.  The New West game promises to be fast and physical, evidenced by the two previous meetings this season and last seasons tunnel action.  Stakes are higher now as we get deeper into the second half of the 18 game regular season.

The T-Men have seven games remaining on their schedule and sit four points back of a playoff spot.  Four of those games are against teams who sit below the T-Men in the WLA standings including three against the last place Burnaby Lakers.

Doors open at 6:00 pm, game time is 7:00 pm.
