T-Men Help Put the Boot to Breast Cancer

April 29, 2009

When a coach speaks, a player listens. And when Strength and Conditioning Coach Jon Wengel told some of his Timbermen players that he was going to help in the fight against breast cancer, the players listened.

On April 18th at Pioneer Park in Nanaimo, Full On Fitness Gym held a "Boot Camp to Beat Breast Cancer" event. Team captains Sterling Mitchell, Graham Palmer along with Ryan Dietterle lent a help hand at the event.

The entire lower field at Pioneer Park was covered with different Boot Camp oriented drills, designed to push the participants to their max. Mitchell put many a "Boot Camper" through their paces with the "Side Shuffle" drill.

Over $1000 was raised for breast cancer research in just a few short hours. The Nanaimo Senior A Timbermen would like to thank all the volunteers, players and Full On Fitness for their hard work in making the event such a success.
