Calling All Nanaimo Schools!

The Nanaimo Senior A Timbermen are rounding into form for the 2009 Western Lacrosse Association season. With all the preparation that is going into this exciting year, the Timbermen aren't forgetting that it is the community as a whole that will be cheering them on to victory.

The Senior A squad is currently creating customized player visits for local elementary and secondary schools in the greater Nanaimo area.

"We really want the children of this city to know that they have some great role models on this team," says Cole Renner, "it is important for us to focus on setting a good example and getting the kids interested in the Senior A Timbermen. To do this, we need to start really giving back to the community."
