Nanaimo TIMBERMEN Junior A Lacrosse

The Nanaimo Junior A Timbermen started their history as an expansion team of the Junior A Lacrosse League in the 2005 season. Playing a 21-game schedule among the 8-team league of the BCJALL, the Junior TMen face opponents from Victoria, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Langley, Port Coquitlam, Burnaby and Delta. The top 6 teams at the end of the regular season get a chance in the playoffs to battle for the right to represent the West in the National Championship Minto Cup Tournament.
2012 is a season of change for the TMen. Having previously played out of the Nanaimo Ice Centre with capacity for only 400 spectators, the Junior TMen will play their first season in the much larger Frank Crane Arena where over 2000 fans can watch them play. Much of this stems from a consolidation with the Timbermen Senior A Lacrosse franchise under new operations, the Atlas Group. This new venue should propel them even further than their playoff appearances in their first 3 seasons of play.
